can't think of an appropriate title (:

I am not really sure what to blog about, but for some odd reason I have this huge desire to write a post, so I suppose I will just ramble on. . .
Yesterday was my first day as the bilingual life group leader & I cannot even begin to describe how much I already love these beautiful women. I am so excited to learn from them, as well as to be sharing experiences & laughter with them. God is so good & He has placed such beautiful hearts within these lovely ladies.

Today was such a great day: typically on Mondays, I spend the day with Jesus. So because it is Monday, that is exactly what I did! After "experiment-cooking (throwing in a bunch of random ingredients because it's what I can afford - it's actually a lot of fun)" lunch, I walked to Mukogaoka-yuen (next station over from where I live) to sit in a cafe & read my Bible. Despite it being a freezing cold walk, it truly was a blessed walk because it was raining, which you may disagree, but I feel that way because I thoroughly enjoy the rain no matter how cold or warm it is, ha ha. Anyways, I had a great time reading in the Word & God reminded me of a passage that I will continue to hold onto tightly:

"As the rain & the snow come down from heaven, & do not return to it without watering the earth & making it bud & flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower & bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire & achieve the purpose for which I sent it."
-Isaiah 55:10-11
God has spoken His word into us so that we may go forth, in His holy name, as children of God accomplishing His heart's desire: that all the world will know His unfailing love. How exciting is that? To know that God has sent us forth, to pour out so that we may come back full! To know that when our goal is Jesus & our eyes are fixed upon Him, we cannot fail, we will not return to God empty. It means HE IS FAITHFUL, praise the Lord!

Afterwards I walked around for a little while & then headed home; on my way home I walked by a woman & her small daughter. As I got closer to walking past the little girl, who was clinging to her mother's hand, she was staring at me, then looked up at me with this cute little smile & waved. <<I read that & it doesn't sound exciting or adorable, but I promise you her wave wasn't an ordinary wave. . .rats! I cannot even describe it, but really, it was one of the best ways to end my day. Hope you enjoyed this random, short note & I pray God uses it to encourage you or at least entertain you :) love & miss you all.

love, abigail
